We’ve already outlined it in our gaming chair guide: every gamer has a different body, so just buying any random DXRacer chair is not really the brightest thing you could do. Some of us are small, some of us are tall, and some of us are fat (happens to the best of us). Every DXRacer chair is designed to fit to a certain body type, so every gamer can – in theory – buy the best DXRacer chair for his figure. As it’s a bit difficult to find the perfect chair for your own weight and body size, we’ll show you your perfect DXRacer in this guide!
Which DXRacer is the best one for me?
Well, how do you actually find the best DXRacer chair for you? First of all, you need to know your own weight and body size. When you’ve done that, just look at both tables below that highlight the different body sizes and weight limits for each single DXRacer chair!
DXRacer Size Chart:
The first step to your DXRacer chair should always be to look at how tall you are. Depending on your body size, choose the DXRacer series that fit for you:
DXRacer Weight Limit Chart:
Once you’ve chosen the DXRacer series that make sense for your height, it’s time to take an honest(!) look at your weight. Depending on that, choose the DXRacers that work for you:
If you didn’t mess up this easy 2-step-process (or don’t fit on any of these chairs because you’re bulking like crazy), you should now know the DXRacer series that work for you. That was the first step; now it’s time to have a more detailed look at all DXRacer series!
Overview: DXRacer Series
These are the core features that all DXRacer series have in common:
|Recline up to 135 degrees:||If you need a little break during a long gaming session, you can recline the backrest up to 135 degrees – which is perfect for that power nap in between matches!|
|Steel Framework:||Every DXRacer is built with a super sturdy steel framework inside the seat and backrest, so it'll be able to support even the heaviest gamers.|
|Headrest & Lumbar Cushion:||Every DXRacer gaming chair comes with two cushions to further adjust your own seating position: one for the headrest, and one for the lumbar area.|
DXRacer: Series & Model Guide
Nine model series to rule them all: here are the DXRacer models in detail!
1. DXRacer Formula (F-Series)
DXRacer’s Formula Series (aka F-Series) is the most well-known DXRacer chair for eSports: this one actually started it all! It can be seen on multiple esports stages throughout the world, and often serves as the official gaming chair of well-known teams. The Formula Series was developed for the average gamer, but you should ideally be rather short – as the maximum height should be around 5’9“ (1.75m). If you’re taller, then a Tank Series or Iron Series makes more sense. If the Formula Series fits you though: it’s an awesome gaming chair and my personal favorite!
2. DXRacer Drifting (D-Series)
The DXRacer Drifting Series is pretty similar to the Formula, only the added comfort due to thicker cushioning is different. Due to this and the deeper seat surface, it feels a little more comfortable than other chairs. The Drifting also supports a higher weight limit than the F-Series.
3. DXRacer Racing (R-Series)
The DXRacer Racing Series is also based on the F-Series, but offers a wider seat width to support gamers that need that extra space on the sides (kinda like flying Premium Economy instead of Economy). It also features turnable arm-rests: even though I have never really found a use for that feature, it’s still a nice gimmick to have.
4. DXRacer King (K-Series)
Kings need a throne, preferably a super large one! The DXRacer King Series is the perfect choice for these gamers among us that are rather ‘large‘. Due to the higher maximum weight (300 lbs) and the huge seat width, even two gamers could fit onto the K-Series – or just one person that’s bulking right now.
5. DXRacer Wide (W-Series)
The DXRacer Wide Series features a super wide seat (thanks, Captain Obvious!). It’s not made for the heavy-weights among us, but rather for anyone that loves lounging on his chair while gaming. If you’re heavier though, you should rather get a DXRacer King or Tank Series.
6. DXRacer Iron (I-Series)
I am Iron Man! Nope, this is not Black Sabbath – but one of DXRacer’s newer models. The Iron Series is the successor of the Formula and has an even better steel framework for increased durability and maximum weight. It also features a 5-star aluminum base for even more durability. The Iron Series (when available) is an awesome alternative to the F-Series!
7. DXRacer Classic (C-Series)
The DXRacer Classic feels a lot more like a ‘classic‘ (hue) office chair: its design is less flashy and tacky, so that it could also be found in a doctor’s office without looking out of place. The seating area if rather flat instead of the typical ergonomic design, which some gamers might prefer as they’re more used to it. The headrest is also different from other DXRacer chairs, as it’s a U-shaped special cushion to support your head. Due to all these features it feels more ‘universal‘, so it’s the better choice if multiple people with different body sizes use it.
8. DXRacer Tank (T-Series)
Similar to the King Series, the ‘Tank‘ is perfect for the gamers that are bulking heavily right now: a maximum weight limit of 450(!) lbs and maximum height of 6’7“ make the T-Series a real tank that even NBA players will feel comfortable with. The size of the aluminum base has also been increased by 20%, and the wheels are even 30% bigger.
9. DXRacer Sentinel (S-Series)
The DXRacer Sentinel is one of the most universal DXRacers on the market: it fits to most body sizes and has a pretty high weight limit of 350 lbs, while the seating area and back rest are still ergonomic. The Sentinel is a little bit harder to get right now though, but offers a great value for most gamers.
