Does the DXRacer Formula Series fit for you?
Gaming chairs are not the same at all: there’s a reason why DXRacer actually offers so many different series. Every gamer is different – while some are tall and skinny, others are small and fat. When deciding on your own gaming chair, you should always look at your own body size and then find the fitting chair for you.
DXRacer Formula Series: Body Size
The DXRacer Formula Series is specifically built for gamers up to a body size of 5’9“ (or 1.80m if you wanna use the metric system). If you’re taller than that or still growing, you should definitely look for another DXRacer like the Racing Series or the King Series. Don’t worry if you’re slightly above that limit though, as you can adjust the seat with the two included cushions.
DXRacer Formula Series: Weight Limit
Same as the body size: every DXRacer chair is developed for certain weight limits. Bottom line: if you’re ‘a bit’ heavier than the average gamer, choosing the right gaming chair is a bit more difficult. The Formula Series is perfect for gamers below 200 lbs, as everything above that might damage the chair over time.
DXRacer Chairs: Basic Features

Features of the DXRacer Formula Series
In addition to the basic DXRacer features listed above, the Formula Series has a few key things that make it different:
Adjustable Arm Rests:
The Formula Series offers adjustable arm rests, which means you can adjust their height to make it fit to your gaming table. Other DXRacer series offer some added options here, as they allow e.g. turning the arm rests or move them forward or sideways.
Sturdy Nylon or Aluminum Base:
Depending on the actual Formula model, your chair will either have a 5-star base made of hard nylon (Formula OF/FD) or – even better – aluminum (OH/FE). If you choose the latter, your chair can even support 260 lbs instead of 200 lbs. The difference can also be seen if the base is matt (nylon) or glossy (aluminum).
Recline up to 135 degrees:
One thing that made DXRacer famous was the extreme back recline: while normal office chairs can only be reclined by some degrees, the Formula Series gets up to 135(!) degrees. This allows you to take that well-needed power nap between matches.
Fabric or Artificial Leather:
Depending on the exact F-Series model you choose, they will come with different types of cover materials: fabric is cheaper but feels more natural, whereas the artificial leather versions are more expensive and feel a bit more luxurious. Plus: artificial leather is easier to clean and maintain, so if you’re a messy – go for leather!
