When you hear a brand name like ‘Arozzi‘ you’d think of something Italian first – but you would definitely not expect a Swedish gaming chair company. That’s what it is though: with a pretty broad product lineup and a lower price range, the Swedes try to claim a spot on the market that is dominated by DXRacer and AKRacing.
But: how good are Arozzi chairs, where are the differences to other brands, and which Arozzi chair would be the best one for you? Let’s find out in our Arozzi guide!
Arozzi Guide: Background & Basics
First of all we’d want to shed some light on who Arozzi is and how they’re different from other chair brands. Arozzi was founded in Sweden in 2013 with the goal in mind to create ergonomic gaming chairs ‘in the spirit of eSports’. All of their chairs are being built in China (just like with any other competitor honestly) and are also inspired by racing seats that you might’ve seen in motor sports – especially due to their ergonomic shape and two-toned, colourful cover material.
When looking at the price range, Arozzi targets a lower market segment compared to its competitors: prices start at 179 USD already for e.g. an Arozzi Monza. This also shows when it comes to features and craftmanship though. Two examples: many Arozzi models have fixed arm rests that can’t be adjusted (which is bad when your chair does not fit under your desk), and the cover material has wrinkles in some corners (which you will not see at DXRacer or AKRacing).
This means: even when Arozzi chairs look super sleek, there will be a difference in quality – especially with the cheaper models. They are solid chairs, but only the more expensive series like the Arozzi Verona Pro or Arozzi Vernazza come close to DXRacer‘s quality bar – even though there will still be a difference in the materials used.
Arozzi Chairs: Series and Model Guide
But: where are the exact differences between all the Arozzi series? Even though the company is quite new, they already offer various different series with very different features and sizes. All current series are explained here in detail:
The Arozzi Enzo is an entry-level gaming chair by Arozzi, that is available for under 200 USD. The arm rests are not adjustable, and the back rest is not that high. Additionally, the body weight limit is quite low with 230lbs.
The Mezzo looks much more like the typical DXRacer chair, and not only when it comes to its design: the back rest offers a recline up to 180° (we found it to be lower than that though) and the arm rests can be adjusted. It’s also in a similar, higher price range (around 300 USD).
The Arozzi Menzo is quite similar to the Enzo model described above. Only the back rest has a slightly different design, while all other data (e.g. measurements, features) are the same.
This also applies to the Arozzi Mugello: it is also the same basic model like the Enzo or Monza. Only the arm rests are different, as they can be adjusted to your liking (or gaming desk).
Arozzi Torretta/Torretta XL
Similar to the Mezzo Series, the Arozzi Torretta is more similar to the well-known chairs by DXRacer or AKRacing, even though it still lacks some features (e.g. 4D arm rests or an aluminum base). The chair itself and the arm rests can be height-adjusted, and the back rest offers a pretty good recline. The XL edition of the Torretta offers a wider seat and higher maximum weight (310 lbs).
Similar to the DXRacer King Series, the Arozzi Vernazza has been developed for heavier gamers: with a maximum weight of 350 lbs the Vernazza is the sturdiest Arozzi chair out there. It still offers less features compared to the King Series for a similar price tag, which is why we’d recommend looking at the DXRacer King Series or Tank Series.
Arozzi Verona/Verona Pro
The Arozzi Verona has a pretty similar design to the DXRacer Formula Series, but not the same features. The chair base is made out of nylon, and the arm rests can only be adjusted one-way (Verona Pro). The only other difference between the Verona and the Verona Pro is the higher weight limit (285 lbs instead of 230 lbs).
Arozzi Guide: Conclusion
Even though having more choices on a market in different price segments is a good thing, we’d always recommend spending some more bucks on a DXRacer Iron Series or King Series instead. Yes, Arozzi chairs look great and are pretty affordable, but they lack some key features that we’d always like to have. And: the price difference to DXRacer or AKRacing is not that high in the end.
